INSTALLATION

The walls of the property are drilled from the outside with a pattern of regularly spaced holes in the mortar. This is followed by injection of Beetafil foamed insulant which flows and 'moulds' itself to the shape of the cavity air space to give a complete fill. The foam then solidifies, permanently trapping the air in the cavity so that its ability to to carry heat to the outer wall is greatly reduced.

The drilled holes are then re-pointed with closely matching mortar. Most semi-detached houses can be insulated in half a day.

Occasionally it is more convenient to drill and inject the insulant from inside, e.g. during refurbishment or in new constructions before plastering. Either way the insulant is equally effective.
